Up late near 11. On 12 49 train to 42nd St. met Serge (?). Myself walked from 30th St. to Essex Market. Null or four causes there (?) to Jefferson where quite a number of cases. Nice day though trifle damp. Believe walked down to office. Wrote quite a lot of cases. In the the evening to see Edwin Booth in Henry VIII + Taming of a Shrew. Did not greatly enjoy either. First time saw Booth though face familiar.
