Hemlock Falls is accessible from a variety of different trails with varying distances. You can reach it via the Lenape (yellow), Rahway (white) and River trail loop which totals just under six miles. This route has rugged, rocky terrain in some places and can get crowded on the weekends due to its popularity. If you are short on time, an alternative is to park at Summit Field, reducing the route to less than two miles round trip.
Regardless of your route, Hemlock Falls is a tranquil spot and is a great place to relax while listening to sounds of the water. While the area is always beautiful, be sure to visit the falls throughout the year to take in seasonal changes in its picturesque landscape.
