Very close and warm. Played croquet. Introduced to a young lady by navebal Lensom. She has a long nose engelic eyes nervous
Very close and warm. Played croquet. Introduced to a young lady by navel Lensom. She has a long nose engelic eyes nervous walk played laeic and expressive some lines approaching broadness. Miss Foedlebers left this evening. She felt sorrowful. I was that way  too. Spent the evening quietly with Miss Belle and George. Recieved a letter from gud. No better than the others.
Tuesday 15th
fishing again. Boat leaking heavily.  Caught over 30 fish. Sale for cupper. Played croquet in the morning. Bathing; first time for days. Spent evening looking over old papers.

Played croquet in the evening to atlantic Hotel with Geo. Sprague. I there saw some curious dancing and bad dancers. Spoke to Hageman and others. Saw Humer girls swinging and drinking. Saturday 12th. To Paterson with the village ball club. I played 2 innings. I had one bat and made a home run. Our club was beaten 11 to 10. First time I was ever in P. Found it a large town.
