More Rain; Still heavy in the night. Gus Recknajel the Hassards the Sullivans young Ladies and dan kelly, spent part of the day with us. The last named slept here. The great explosion at Hell gate took place. It was hardly heard here.

Tuesday 19th Mt poor little sue and dear Nellie to Emits ___with their father. God bless them truth. How little of an old home is more left reed. A letter from Geo. A Soman. He and Will have been to the couturial. Will goes back to Seton Hall, and after all the talk of coolness existing and know opinions of Dr. Cumjan being entertained. Well and thought - Dr. Okonma. a different man. Many Rob went as far as the Pennsylvania R.R depot with the children. There she and the poor little pets indulged in a good cry. I played ball. A practice game pleasant day. Rather Cool. Wednesday 20th Great baseball game for the Unions. They played against the dafarettes of Paterson and won 6 to 4. A lot of excitement as it was the best game ever played in the new Utrecht. I recieved a letter from aunt Jin. Eight pages long. Mary Rob with belle Sullivan to the city. Played cards in the evening. Pleasant day Thursday 21st Aunt Mary to Brooklyn to stand examination as an alcove teacher. She became frightened when the time came, and refused to try. Mary rob has a bad cold. Witnessed a yacht race which proved interesting. Played ball and enjoyed myself. Friday 22nd Commenced last night finished tonight a letter to Aunt Jin. Cloudy and dampness. Whole year to 9.0.4.
