March, Wednesday 15. 1874 Studies.

Thursday, 16. Village.

Friday, 17. Rain. To the village after supper. J. Fies, old student, up.

Saturday, 18. Ball. Meeting of alerts. Reorganization. Meeting satisfactory.

Sunday, 19. Early mass. Game. Our side beaten 29 to 26. Bad play.

Monday, 20. Rain. Letter from Bayard. Paper from papa.

Tuesday, 21. Rather disheartened at condition of diary but determined to give it a little longer. Ball. Letter from Mary, Papa, and Bayard.

Wednesday, 22. Mupilt and Gross delegate to the Amateur Base Ball Convention. Saw papa in Brooklyn. Papa looking badly. No one but little Sue at home. Left the convention before anything important was done. Returned to college on the half past nine o'clock train.

Thursday, 23. Raining. To the village three times. Had much to do and did not do it.

Friday, 24. Ball. Paper from Bayard.

Saturday, 25. Rain snow sleet. Half way to the village with umbrella. Near drowned.

Sunday, 26. Ordinations. Spent afternoon in the village. Too windy to play ball.

Monday, 27. Recreation. Beautiful day. Long walk in the morning. Ball in the morning and afternoon. Fongiorgi's played the Juicketips. J's won. Headache.

Tuesday, 28. Usuallu our easy day. Father James gone mad. Rushing us through a great deal of matter. Snowing!!!

Wednesday, 29th. Felt poorly! Headache! My poor nose received a knock some time ago. my poor nose! It is growing bigger. Hence my illness hence my headaches.

Thursday, 30. Nose worse. Feeling horrid. To infirmary. Uncle William up. I have an abscess. He sauces it. I feel better.

Friday,31. Still in infirmary. Letter from Aunt Jin. Good times. Toast

MAY, Saturday, 1st. Windy. Feeling better. Slept over here.

Sunday, 2nd. To early mass. Playing ball. To village.

Monday, 3rd. Preparing for examination tomorrow.

Tuesday,4th. Passed well. Monsigneur Seton one of the examinors.

Wednesday, 5th. Recreation. Ball.

Thursday, 6th. Game between Anlinstons and Alerts. Alerts 27 anling's 7. I did not play in other words I was shoved off the mire.

Friday, 7th. Written examination in Balances. Mailed a long letter to A..t J.n.

Saturday, 8th. Writing analysis of Ethics.
