Saturday July 1 1876

Writing in the morning fishing with Leo and Will in the afternoon. Leo became seasick and the rest of the crowd became sick of the fishing we had but poor luck. In the evening I was introduced to two young ladies. I spent some hours in the company of Leo and Miss Pauline. Saw a ludicrous scene.  Two ardent lovers about six indulged in a hugging and kissing farce.  As they passed Leo will [?] and we we gave them a cheer.  Yesterday or day before need better from [?] <Name> He marches no decent excuse for his eiry silence.
