Played with Brusher and MacDonough another reporter a young and rather nice fellow with whom I had a long chat on different topics. To Bklyn with Bayard. Before crossing the ferry I indulged in coffee milk English muffins, and apple pie at a cafe and coffee place near Fulton Market. Not food for Johnnie. To bed about one or two. Wednesday 10th To office. With Brusher to Brooklyn. In the morning wrote four letters to the department + to Pural Gazette also a postal card to R.H. Reported mishap to a ferry boat my own piece of work and to write up lecture by Lauraa Webb which was postponed. To see Lotta in Lïp. She is good in this play though scarcely so funny as in the Marchioness. To the Herald and with Bayard to Brooklyn. Thursday 11th Sent in my bill for $10 last week’s work. Up at 12 ½. Nice hours. Wearing dirty shirt, cuffs + collar ditto. Can not get to Bath. Saw Papa yesterday and today for the first times since our falling out.
