Monday 24th
Monday 24th
Slept restlessly. Think my companion Frank the same. Nevertheless he was sleeping soundly when I called him about 6. Brasher [&] he left Bath on 7.11 [7:11] dummy. Brasher left without his hat. He did not [blank] my cards so I held on to his hat. Mr. and Mrs. Helfenstein stayed till about 10. Papa [&] self to city. Told by some boys that Sullivan [blank] likes [&] another name unknown was in Carroll Place. His [blank][blank] it is said "lush". They were talking about the shows [&] us. They said they were coming down here. In the evening Ellen said people in [blank][blank] told her [blank][blank] been two carriages in our  lane but might the occupants of which shunted" Mary [&] Jack. Come out quick." On the 12 St dummy to the city. Unexpected early getting away. Suppose it occurred because I imagined it later. Found Brewer in Schwart's. There was nothing in Court except trifle.
