Monday 24th Slept restlessly. Think my companion Frank the same. Nevertheless he was sleeping soundly when I called him about 6. Brasher [&] he left Bath on 7.11 [7:11] dummy. Brasher left without his hat. He did not return my cards so I held on to his hat. Mr. and Mrs. Helfenstein stayed till about 10. Papa [&] self to city. They said they were coming down here. In the evening Ellen said people in Frenchman's told her there had been two carriages in our lane but might the occupants of which shouted "Mary [&] Jack.
